Will always remember Carl for the times I saw him play and was lucky enough to dj with him. He came down to play at our event in Somerset and naturally blew everyone away. I always knew he'd forgotten more about Northern Soul than I'd ever know, but he wore that huge fund of knowledge lightly and was incredibly supportive to us and other guest djs. A gentle man and a gentleman. All our love and thoughts to Maria and the family.

The first time we met was in Burnley, end of the 90's, on an alldayer...Liz introduced us and suggested we should book you for the TYHU Weekender in Nuremberg. My english wasn't very good to that time but Michael and me managed to convince you that it would be a fabulous idea for both of you, to join us for a wintery weekend in the north of Bavaria. The rest ist history.... We made so many good memories, and I just loved your brilliant sense of humour and your taste in music. Carl, we will never forget you. Rest in Power.

Thanks Carl, so much, for the many fantastic tunes you introduced us to, the nights out, the cassette tapes you made for us, (which we still treasure), and your generous spirit.....never forget being greeted in the paper shop every morning with "What do you think of this??" while another gem blasted out! Great times. You will be missed.
